On the episode in February of 2013 of SmackDown she took part in her first match. Following that she began appearing on SmackDown Main event events and WWE other events. Total Divas joined her after she was eliminated from an atag-team battle of 7 on 7 in a match against True Divas, in September 2013. Mendes defeated her during the game. She was crowned the Divas Champion in February's Elimination Chamber in which she beat AJ Lee. She was able to take on Lee another time in the same episode and was unable to defend her title. Ariana later took on Lee as well, and took home victory at Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational. The month of July, 2014 Nikki Bella took part in a match as Summer Rae Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae. Ariana only came to fight Nikki Bella. Then she was able to play Naomi at the Battleground occasion prior to the main event. Ariana won the battle against Naomi in the battle. The rivalry between them was formed in the aftermath. They took on tag-teams and handicap matches throughout the summer. Throughout the summer of 2015 Ariana fought alongside other wrestling stars Alicia Fox Paige Bella Twins as well as Asuka. In 2016, following the absence of a period of 2 months WWE has confirmed that Ariana has been released from her contract. Arina has joined WWE NXT since her resignation.
